NYAA-Nexus Project Grant

The grant provides funding for projects that explore and celebrate Singapore's strengths, values and nationhood.

Open to all Singapore residents, the grant scheme provides funding of up to 70% of the project's operating cost, or $3,000, whichever is lower. Applications may be submitted by an individual or a group.

Possible Themes

All applications for funding should be for projects that are related to National Education issues. Some possible themes which applicants may wish to adopt include:

a. Racial Harmony
Singapore is a country comprising many different races and religions. Applicants can embark on projects which celebrate Singapore's success as a harmonious nation and society built on a rich diversity of culture and heritage.

b. Total Defence
The concept of Total Defence was introduced in 1984 to rally Singaporeans together in the defence of the country. The idea was to draw upon the different strengths and abilities in our society to enhance our defence capability. When Singaporeans take personal responsibility for and get involved in the defence of Singapore, they are playing their part to help keep Singapore safe and secure.
