lower. Applications may be submitted by an individual or a group.
Possible Themes
All applications for
funding should be for projects that are related to
National Education issues. Some possible themes which applicants may
wish to adopt include:
a. Racial Harmony
Singapore is a country comprising many different races and religions.
Applicants can embark on projects which celebrate Singapore's
success as a harmonious nation and society built on a rich diversity of
culture and heritage.
b. Total Defence
The concept of Total Defence was introduced in 1984 to rally
Singaporeans together in the defence of the country. The idea was
to draw upon the different strengths and abilities in our society to
enhance our defence capability. When Singaporeans take
personal responsibility for and get involved in the defence of
Singapore, they are playing their part to help keep
Singapore safe and secure.
c. Our Home. Our
Future. Our
Singapore.
Build
your project around the theme “Our Home. Our Future. Our
Singapore.” In creative ways, discuss how
far we have progressed as a nation, and how our society has grown and
matured through our 50 years of self-governance.
d. Our
Singaporean Identity
What makes us Singaporean? Applicants can
explore and celebrate our Singaporean identity through their
projects. These projects could highlight the
unique aspects of our country and citizens, discuss our shared
values or showcase the unique faces, places, sights and
sounds of
Singapore.
For reference:
Please note that applicants are not limited to the themes above, but
are free to explore any projects which are related to National
Education.
