The National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) was officially launched on 9th May 1992 by President Wee Kim Wee at the Istana.
The NYAA was approved as an institution of public character (IPC) under Section 37 (2) C of the Income Tax Act for a period of five years. Subsequently, the NYAA became a member of the Central Youth Fund. Donations to the NYAA enjoy tax deduction.
The National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) Council is a not for profit organisation, which is self-supportive. Funding comes from corporate and public donations. All donations can be made payable to: "National Youth Achievement Award" and mailed to the NYAA Secretariat.
The NYAA Council is grateful to our Life Benefactor, the Singapore Totalisator Board and Singapore Pools Pte Ltd, for their financial support and partnership in our youth development work since our inception.
