About the NYAA Council
The National Youth Achievement Award Council of Singapore is a non-profit organization that administrates the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) in Singapore.
The NYAA Council is advised by an Advisory Board chaired by Mr Mah Bow Tan, Former Minister for National Development and Member of Parliament, Tampines GRC. In addition, the NYAA Council is chaired by Prof Leo Tan, Director of Special Projects at the National University of Singapore. It is administered by the NYAA Secretariat, which is headed by Executive Director, Mr James Soh.
The NYAA Council is an Institute of Public Character (IPC) and has been granted tax-exempted status by the Singapore Government. The NYAA Council serves in many government committees and non-governmental organizations in Singapore as well as in many international agencies worldwide. International Affiliation
NYAA Council of Singapore is a Full Member of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Association, also known as the International Award Association (IAA), which operates in over 130 countries worldwide under various national titles. It serves as a member of the International Council, the executive committee of the IAA. NYAA Council of Singapore also serves as an Advisor in many international agencies worldwide. Mission Statement
